Released today is the 2nd video from ‘Kiss The Gun’ filmed in Southampton and taken from their debut album Nightmares. The track is ‘Writing On The Wall’.
This band have been getting reviews from all the major press publications and online magazines as well as Radio play and interviews.
Here are a few quotes we thought might interest you –
Music Republic Magazine – An extremely accomplished first album from heavy rockers – Kiss The Gun – a very promising and powerful new British, female fronted five piece. This is incendiary but melodic stuff, with a singer who has balls as big as the males in the band, in respect of the power in her vocals.
Get Ready to Rock – Such is the well-constructed nature of Nightmares that it sounds anything but a debut – tracks like the Lizzy inspired ‘Writing On The Wall’, ‘Stand Up’, with its distant echoes of Boston, and the driving ‘Run, Run, Run’ are ‘made’ for rock radio.
Rocktopia – ”Nightmares’ is a fine release, it’s modern in places and yet sounds retro at other times. From the opener ‘Into The Fire’ through the title track and the very AOR ‘Stand Up’, it’s chock full of fine songs. Great harmonies and solid guitar work also assist in making this a damn good debut. The good thing about the album is it doesn’t remind me of any band in particular so Kiss The Gun are stamping their own trademark. Overall, this is one debut that is strongly recommended.
Planet Mosh – ‘The album has everything you can ask for from a good rock album – great vocals, great guitar playing, a strong rhythm section and well written songs. I expect we’ll be hearing plenty more from Kiss the gun over the next few years as based on this album they should do well’.
Metal Discovery – So then, the results of their combined talents… very good, I have to say. Great, in fact. First and foremost, there’s astute songwriting on ‘Nightmares’. This is all about fantastic songwriting, which incorporates some seriously infectious melodies and hooks, and executed with passion and a refined sense of panache. It all flows very nicely indeed. Performances and production are top notch.
As you can see this album is not only well written & performed but is inspiring everyone to ‘write up’ some excellent reviews.
